The Owners
Amy and Terrence met in 1998 in Block Island, Rhode Island. Terrence was head chef at the Manisses Hotel and Amy was waitressing, as the saying goes the rest was history!

In 2001, Terrence took his culinary career to Boston where he worked at the James Beard awarded restaurant Blue Ginger under the tutelage of Ming Tsai, while Amy worked for a marketing firm by day and perfected her bartending and waitressing skills at night. They then moved to Providence, Rhode Island in 2004 at which point Terrence helped to open the Brassiere Red Stripe and finally Up River Café. Amy received her master’s and began a career in teaching 7th grade English.
In 2013 they had the opportunity to run and eventually purchase Hotel Mountain Brook in Tannersville, NY. They sold Hotel Mountain Brook in 2021 so they could concentrate on opening Pantry on Main, offering breakfast, lunch, to-go items, beer, wine and more, as well as the Creekside Suites, two short term rentals.
